Damian and I have always loved the look of traditional Queenslanders, particularly how classic and iconic they are to Australia. Shelton was recommended to us by a work colleague when we bought the block of land in Toowoomba. When we looked on the website we absolutely loved what we saw! We really like the idea of supporting local businesses and Scott and his team were nothing short of incredible especially given the difficult steep nature of our block and the logistics we had to deal with, it was seamless.
We went to Scott with a custom house plan that was very important to us as we wanted this place to be our forever home so our expectations were high. Scott was able to make and deliver it for us with the added Shelton homes touch and we couldn’t be happier.
The construction phase was exciting and overall a great experience. It was wonderful to see all the little design choices we made come together and the attention to detail by Scott and his team exceeded our expectations. Any issues that came up were resolved promptly and the build went smoothly and quickly. We were very impressed with the professionalism and quality workmanship of his team and how mature his group of boys were to talk to and deal with.

My sister and I inherited the family farm just over 2 years ago when our father passed away. Shortly after this, the 90 year old homestead on the property burnt to the ground. We decided to rebuild, and started planning and thinking about what we required in a new homestead. Neither of us had been involved in building a new home for over 30 years, so the prospect was quite daunting. As we are both married and have grandchildren, we needed a home large enough to cater for the needs of 2 families. We wanted a home we could enjoy, for family gatherings and also that suited the farm surroundings.
We met with Scott Shelton, and he impressed both of us from that first meeting. He drove us around and showed us many of the homes he had built over time. These homes were of various sizes, age and design. It was evident how much pride and pleasure he took in his work. We were also able to view a larger home, which was close to completion. It was just beautiful, and both my sister and I knew that we had found the builder to construct our homestead.
Scott has a wonderful team behind him too, which made each step in the decision making process much easier to navigate. His aim was to take as much stress as possible away, and in that regard it helped us a great deal. Scott has an easy going way about him, and nothing was too much trouble. He made many suggestions during the course of the construction to enhance the final outcome.
My sister and I live 2 hours away from the farm, so communication was highly important for this project to work successfully. Scott was always available via phone and responded to emails and messages promptly. He kept us updated with progress photos between our visits to see the homestead build take shape.
Overall, Scott is professional and courteous, and his attention to detail is exceptional. He doesn't cut corners and uses quality products.
I would highly recommend Scott and the team at Shelton Homes to anyone considering building a new home. You won't be disappointed.

We had wanted to build a Shelton Home for many years so when we decided to build again, there was only one choice for us. Because of Shelton Homes' good reputation, we honestly didn't really have any concerns before we started building with them.
The experience building with Shelton Homes was absolutely painfree and a joy from beginning to end. They communicated very well with us so we were never left wondering what was happening next.

A few years ago we found this beautiful picturesque and hilly acreage that looked awkward to build a house on. We wanted to build our own designed floor plan as we really didn’t find anything that suited our needs or the building site.
Our other concerns were design costs as we all try to build to a budget. The proof is in the pudding. I love our new forever home. I am ecstatic with the build and the work ethic of the Tradesmen.
If I find a “Fence sitter” I would show them our home and take them through every room and detail every step of construction. What it looked like as it was being built and how it went together, at what time-frame the construction was completed in and how the Shelton team interacted with us and as a team then let the evidence speak for itself.
